Resetting the Service Light on Aixam Microcars

This guide explains how to turn off the service light (“wrench” symbol) on your dashboard after the recommended service interval has passed. If you’ve completed the service yourself, resetting the light is the easiest way to track mileage until your next scheduled service.

The method to reset the light depends on your vehicle's model year. We’ll explain step by step.

1. Models before 2010 (manufactured after 2004)

If you own an Aixam made before 2010, the dashboard may look something like this. The design may vary slightly, but the functionality is the same.

To reset the service light:

1. Turn on the ignition.

2. Press and hold both buttons on the dashboard.

3. Release the buttons when “reset” appears on the service meter. The light should now be reset.

2. Aixam models after 2010 and Chatenet CH26 & CH32

For Aixam vehicles from 2010 onwards, your instrument cluster likely looks similar to this. Appearance may vary, but the main feature is that the trip computer is centered in the dashboard.

To reset the service light on an Aixam (post-2010) or a Chatenet CH26:

1. Press and hold both dashboard buttons.

2. While holding the buttons, turn on the ignition.

3. Release the buttons once the service counter resets. This may take a few seconds.

NOTE! It is never recommended to reset the service light without actually performing the service at the recommended intervals. Ignoring maintenance can lead to faster wear on engine components, higher risk of breakdowns, reduced engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and costly repairs.
