Step-by-step: How to replace the exterior door handle
1. From the inside of the door panel
- Remove the locking clip from the anti-theft mechanism (safety stop A) on the inside of the door.
- Then carefully pull handle B out from its base C.
- Operate the base mechanism C to fully release the handle.
- Remove the old handle B.
2. From the outside of the door
- Remove the sealing strip D located between the handle and the door panel.
- Separate and remove the sealing strip.
3. Back on the inside
- Unscrew the three screws E that hold the base C.
- Remove the base from the door.
4. Install the new handle
- Install base C and tighten the three screws E.
- Attach the new sealing strip D.
- Press the new handle B into base C and secure it with safety stop A.
