- Socket wrench sizes 17, 19, and 24
- Allen key

Step-by-step: How to replace the secondary variator

1. Preparations
   - Open the engine hood by pulling the release lever inside the cabin.
   - Use the support rod to hold the engine hood up.
   - Remove the protective cover over the engine.
   - Remove the plastic clips that hold the edge trim in place.
   - Disassemble the edge trim to gain free access.

2. Loosen the Belt
   - Screw in the adjustment screw on the variator to open the variator flanges.
   - Manually rotate the variator to loosen the drive belt from the variator.
   - Remove the belt from the inverter unit.

3. Remove the Variator
   - Unscrew the center bolt that holds the variator (torque: 70 Nm when reassembling).
   - Slightly tilt the inverter unit to create space to pull out the variator.
   - Carefully remove the old variator.

4. Install the New Variator
   - Place the new variator in position.
   - Reinstall the center bolt and tighten to the correct torque (70 Nm).
   - Reinstall the belt.
   - Remove the adjustment screw so the variator returns to its normal position.
   - Reinstall the edge trim, plastic clips, and protective cover.
