- Socket wrench size 16 and 17
- Socket size 19
- 2-post lift or jack with axle stands
- Safety gloves

Step-by-step: How to replace the front shock absorber
1. Preparations and wheel removal
Lift the vehicle safely.
Unscrew the four wheel nuts (torque: 45 Nm).
Remove the wheel.
2. Free the shock absorber
Remove the screw holding the brake hose bracket.
Move the bracket aside without damaging the brake hose.
Remove the plastic clips holding the inner fender cover.
Remove the inner fender cover.
3. Remove the shock absorber
Unscrew the upper nut and washer securing the shock absorber.
Loosen the lower mount from the steering knuckle.
Pull the shock absorber out from the suspension.
4. Install the new shock absorber
Position the new shock absorber according to the alignment mark (if applicable).
Secure the upper nut and washer.
Secure the lower mount to the steering knuckle.
Reinstall the brake hose bracket, inner fender cover, and wheel.
Tips during installation
Make sure the shock absorber is centered before tightening the nuts.
Always replace both sides at the same time for even damping.
